Fingerspelled T-S-L-I Enlightening is our Language : That's the reason why we are here - to try to make SASL easily remembered & recognised, and have it become our 12th official language. As Deaf people, we need to be part of the growing/ developing society. How? Through using South African Sign Language as our communicating tool.
Employment
Pilot Phase

TSLI founders wishes to spend a vast amount of time in creating TSLI and making sure that at least 2 or 3 of its services/products are operational to gain enough experience and identifies what are the needs and what personnel (staff) is needed within the project. Enough money needs to be made available to employ more staff. TSLI will employ Deaf and hearing people youth who have skills on contract basis.

Recruitement

Once our turnover warrants it, TSLI will employ 6 Deaf and 4 hearing people. This will balance the challenges that might be experienced in future regarding the communication. Special events will be organised to share ideas, teach each others language and communication skills. Since SASL is always changing, Deaf will be able to help with the development and updating of the operating services/products to make sure that we give our customers a quality services/products. Top quality priority, friendly and time, positive and happy environment to work in will be encouraged and this environment will be conducted to self-managed individuals.

Partnership

TSLI is trying to build relationship with Deaf schools so that it will in future invest on students who will be studying IT to take TSLI forward.

  • TSLI has agents who sell SASL Materials to the community.
  • TSLI has established a business relationship with the Flash and Web developer but would like to recruit the designer and representative to help market TSLI.
